Currently Listening
An Irish Evening: Live At The Grand Opera House, Belfast
By The Chieftains
see related

Hey everyone reading this. I hope you all haven't been trying to read this, expecting an update. I have been big-time slacking on the xanga updating. Anyways, I am back at school, and it is already midterms! I can't believe it is going so fast. I like my classes again this year. Some of them are pretty hard, but I am getting by okay. My favorite class is Faith and Reason. It is awesome. It is all about understanding theology with the aid of philosophy. The teacher is awesome. His name is Fr. John McDermott, and he is a super-genius philospher/theologian.  I feel very blessed to be able to study philosophy under him.

Other things happening at school...we have been practicing for the Mudbowl for a while now. The team is looking pretty good. Defense = awesome, Offense = getting to be awesome.  Hopefully we can keep the trophy that we won from Theology last year.

Oh yah, I am also 21 now. That is fun. There are some pretty cool places to go have a drink around here.  This will also be nice when the Irish band plays in Charlotte and Charleston over midterm break in next weekend. It should be a good time.  I've started learning the Tenor banjo. It is a lot different than playing bass, but I like it. Now I can play songs anytime, instead of just playing the bass line!

So yes, I want to go visit people at their colleges! Benedictine and Steubenville are on the top of the list, although I don't know how it will work out to get down to Kansas. Steubenville is more do-able. Anyways, I am missing everybody from Omaha, and also the guys who graduated or left since last year. It is a lot different here this year...Okay, I know it is annoying when people do this, but I'm going to try to make one of my favorite songs play when you look at my xanga. Sorry, hahaha! Okay friends, I must depart to Skyline chili, the wonderland of spaghetti with chili on it that resides in Ohio-land. I will try to keep this thing more updated...

Currently Watching
Band of Brothers
see related

so...summer is almost over...I can't believe I will be leaving for the grand ol' Joss Friday morning. I am excited though.  The band was in town two weeks ago. It was awesome to have all the guys here, and to play some Irish music. We had three SWEET performances. I think everyone had fun.  Our band is also selling merchandise on the internet! Go to www.cafepress.com/easterrising if you want to buy our cd or other stuff.

In other news, I bought a new suit. However, I may have been under the influence of the mob, because I watched the Godfather right before shopping. This may explain the suspenders and pin-stripes. hmmmm

In other other news, I have purchased a huge amount of cds this summer. Maybe that is why my bank account is "deflated." I stopped working on friday! It was fun, but I am ready to relax for a week.

When I get back to school, I have bunch to do as well. I have to build a lot, restore College roof access, arrange my room, and do other miscellaneous activities!

I am a bit sad that my friend Tommy will not be returning to Steubenville, so he will not be able to visit as frequently. He willl hopefully be able to come to the MUDBOWL!

Sorry, everyone that reads this, if I did not call you or hang out with you a lot, or at all, this summer. Hopefully we can stay in touch, and do more in the future.

Attention Everyone! Please pray for my brother and my safe return to Ohio.

WHOA! It has been like 2 months since I wrote on here! I definitely don't get online nearly as much as I do at school. I have been busy...but there is really no good excuse for my lack of xangaing. I haven't even really read other people's xangas either! Well anyway, I am over my nasty cold mentioned in my last entry! I am also back home from school for the summer, and am washing windows as a summer job! I have gotten to do some cool buildings, and the guys I work with are pretty cool.  It has been pretty hot though, so at times it is  very tiring. It is nice to get some manual labor in during the year though. In other news, I have been hanging around having fun.  We have gone to the Lake House a few times, as well as Hooks fer Feet Tom's Cabin. They have all bee very enjoyable times.  My friend and DB Liam is taking a pastoral year, so he is back for the summer, a year earlier than expected, which was a pleasant surprise. We have already been hanging out a lot.   I haven't gotten to see some of my other friends a lot, since we have all kind of had overlapping trips and stuff. Hopefully I will get to do a lot more before the end of the summer, which seems like it is coming up really fast.

I miss all the guys from school a lot. Maybe I'll give some of them a call. I lit up my pipe tonight and remembered the good times at the Josephinum with Yohe, Desch, McNulty, Shaw and the other guys.  I am excited for next year, especially the non-stop party that will be 3 south!

Okay, so I guess there's more stuff to write about, but... all I can say is all of you reading this better pray for me, and I will try to remember to pray for you.  Hope you all are having a great summer. Hi Cincinnati! Hi Huron! Hi Youngstown! Hi Omaha! Hi Columbus! Hi Omaha! Peace!

So...I have a cold, but I am in good spirits. I took some Robitussin, and it got things moving in my lungs, because a half hour later, I was getting healthy sized balls of phlegm out. Yummy! In other news, the band recorded the other night at Amerisound, a recording studio in Columbus. It was awesome. Hopefully we can get an album finished for the summer. Will's friends Debbie and Lisa came up. It was really fun. Debbie sang with Josh, and Lisa took a ton of cool pictures. If you want to see them, go to the Easter Rising Xanga.

I also got to go down to Cincinnati last week, and hang out with Will and Johnny, and all their friends for their sister's 21st birthday. It was really fun.I even got to try White Castle for the first time. We didn't get home until around 3:30 am, but it was really fun. Oh yah! We were playing paintball in the woods, and the neighbors called the cops on us. The cops didn't care though when we told them that we lived there, and it was our property. The neighbors were T-O'd though, so now paintball is off until Fr. Peter gets a letter out to them.

Finals are officially started. I had one this morning, not too bad, but my other Literature test this afternoon will be rough...

When school gets out, I am heading to South Carolina to hang out with the Mr. Cellars. Easter Rising is playing at PK O'Ryans this coming Saturday, if anyone wants to come, it goes from 8-10. Be There!

Okay, gotta go to Mass...

Hola Amigos. I just got out of Lauds in Spanish, and Vince alerted me that "Tricia" had requested an update.  So I said, "Why Not?!!" So here is my update. I will try not to make it into one of those long kind that no one actually reads (only skims), nor will I make it one of those short kind that barely counts as an update, that only temporarily satisfies the hunger of the Xanga-reader-person. Sooooo... Mucho has happened since my last real update. I have written a lot of papers, but I still have one due tomorrow! Six pages! I haven't even started! My top-secret paper writing plan is to write it all day today, and work on it late into the night to-night!

Anyways, we have a new Pope! The rat! I am reading some of his books he wrote as a Cardinal now. They are pretty hard to understand sometimes.  Oh! Tonight we are having procession and blessing of our Mary statue that was restored.  It will be pretty awesome. Everybody gets a turn carrying the statue on a huge thing that the seniors built. I will try and put some pictures on here. I am chanting 2 stanzas of the Akathistos, a Greek Marian hymn, and doing incense for the second half of the procession.

Last night was the second to the last night of teaching the 4th graders religion for Apostolic Works. It has been really fun. At the beginning of the year, I was scared to, but now I like working with kids. It was really fun teaching with Weeder.

Wait a minute! Has this turned into the long Xanga that I wanted to avoid! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE! ARGHEAS  <BREATH NOISE>
